Ways I Support Climate Action
Projects & Impact
Disaster Response Stakeholder Map
This project was a critical effort to create a tool that directly responded to community needs during a crisis. Developing the disaster response stakeholder map required compassionate community collaboration and meticulous organization of complex, evolving data. The result was a visually engaging, interactive tool that improved the coordination of recovery efforts and distribution of resources.
“I think you heard the resounding “hallelujah” response to all of the work you and the team have put into these maps - so appreciate you meeting what is clearly a need.”
- Program Coordinator, West Maui Watershed Group
Youth Climate Art Therapy Program
Coordinating one of the most impactful programs we have ever designed was the greatest honor of my professional career. This youth art therapy program supported the healing process for Lahaina youth following the Maui fires of 2023.
We shared this as a tool for “Climate Empowerment: Supporting Youth’s Climate Mental Health” at the 2024 AGU conference.
“I do a lot of grant writing, and this is one of the most thorough, well designed and impactful reports I've ever seen! Well done!”
- Director, Lahaina Arts Guild
Community-based Research
Leading a comprehensive systems analysis of the healthcare system was challenging and fulfilling, and it reinforced my passion for community-based research. This year-long project resulted in a systems model that identified powerful leverage points for reallocating resources to improve community healthcare access.
“Thank you again for your expansive and thoughtful work!”
